COHORTS

This qualification is delivered to diverse Learner Groups, including full- and part-time trainees, as well as full-time students. Trainees are either full-time or part-time employees who have recently started employment with various employers as part of a traineeship.

As part of the arrangement between the RTO and KLC, and in accordance with the Guidelines About Apprenticeship/Traineeship Training Delivery, full-time trainees will spend three (3) hours per week of their full-time workload to attend formal, structured and off-the-job training. This will include a 3-hour online training session once a week. Part-time trainees will be allowed a 2-hour online training session per week. The focus of these sessions will be to enable the development of skills relevant to the learners’ work environment through instruction, demonstration and skills practice.

All trainees will also develop a work-based learning plan in consultation with their assigned facilitator for each unit, to enable the development of skills and knowledge within the context of their employer, work environment and work tasks.

Full-time students are currently not employed and/or have not yet entered the workforce, and the qualification is being delivered and assessed in a blended learning environment (online and classroom-based learning). Learning plans for this group will enable the development of skills and knowledge within the context of a simulated (case study) organisation and work environment.

FACILITATOR ROLE

You and several other facilitators will be delivering training and assessment to assigned Learner Groups for training delivery and Work Plan Groups for implementation of individual work-based learning plans.

The RTO Co-ordinator (your Assessor) has assigned you to manage the delivery and assessment a single unit of competency within the qualification to an assigned Learner Group and Work Plan Group. All trainees have entered into a training contract with their employer and RTO, and a training plan has been developed and agreed to by all parties.
