Overview

The following paper evaluates your competency in Global Trade Assessment through the submission of this Research Assignment. You will write a Feasibility Research Report for a potential international trade initiative. The research report must outline the research taken to determine the feasibility of an international business opportunity for the company you work for.

 

The steps to follow are:

Identify the international trade initiative, providing details on the product and which market you plan to target.
Outline the research objectives, methodology and data sources used.
Conduct secondary research to gather data, trends, and facts to inform your report.
Collect, organize, and analyze the research data.
Write a comprehensive research report to assess the feasibility of the potential trade initiative.

 

Scenario

Continuing from you Individual Trade Research Assignment, your product will be the same as the one you had already selected for the Trade Research Assignment.:

Product being exported – Wheat
A country to which you will export from Canada to Peru

Submission Format 

Please submit the assignment in Blackboard in MS. Word on based upon the due date noted on Blackboard

Font: Times New Roman/Arial, 12 pt. double spaced. 

The report must not exceed 6 pages (excluding title page, table of contents, appendices, and bibliography). 

Note: There is a deduction of marks for exceeding the page limit. 

 

Logic and Analysis of Data 

As a researcher, you will transform the data collected into information that can be used in assessing the impact on the issues in the research plan.  Charts and statistical analysis may be presented to show trends, forecasts, and estimates. The analysis carried out in the report will become the foundation for the decisions that will appear in the recommendations and action plan. You should ensure that the analysis is relevant to the key issues/risks being addressed of doing your export business.

 

Overall Format of the International Export Research 

Pay attention to spelling and grammar. The plan must be clearly written.  When using statistics or information from outside sources, footnote the information on the page where the information is used. The occasional use of pictures, tables or graphs is recommended (for illustration purposes) and helps with the visual appeal. You will be assessed on your knowledge of the principles of the research and your ability to demonstrate your understanding through this Research Project.
