Reports to: Payroll Manager – Finance Department Location: Central Office

 As a leading clothing retailer of finer menswear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, an exciting and challenging opportunity exists as a Payroll Administrator. We are currently seeking an experienced administrative professional to be responsible for the following:

Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with provincial and federal regulations
Producing and reconciling summary reports for all payrolls
Establishing new employee records in payroll system and maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll documentation for all employees.
Ensuring that eligible associates are enrolled in the benefit program
Processing benefit changes and terminations
Preparing and distributing employee records of employment (ROE) within mandated timelines
Responding to government agencies
Responding to employee payroll & benefit inquiries and adhering to the department and Harry Rosen customer service level expectations
Other payroll duties as assigned
 

The successful candidate will have the following background/experience:

University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline
Minimum of 1 – 2 years in preparing payroll, accounting or administrative experience
Working knowledge of the Canadian ADP payroll system
CPA Certificate
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong proficiency in Excel
Excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail
Adaptable and demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
