In other words, do you feel the benefits outweigh the risks? Why or why not?Peer 1: I Chose: The workplace culture is described by employees as stressful, competitive, or alienating. The general factors that may contribute to an organization or business implementing this practice are management, fear of being fired. These two factors can not only cause stress on an employee and have a negative repercussion on the company because the employee will feel as if they are being overworked and valued as an employee eventually, but they may also decide to leave the company in all. Competition is when management shares each employees’ stats within the team showing where everyone stands and who may need to work a little harder. The negative repercussions can make an unhealthy work environment via management and employees. Alienating is when management does not share important information about changes the negative repercussion can cause employees to feel that they are not supported by management. The benefits will be that morale will increase and the higher productivity within the employees. If employees feel that the company cares and understands them then the employee will stay with the company but if they do not, they will seek other opportunities. Peer 2: I chose to look at employee pay being lowThere are a few reasons a companies pay may be low. First, they could just be greedy and want to keep as much profits as possible without passing it along to the employees. Second, perhaps the pricing was not properly researched. If a product or service is priced below the market value and actually costing money instead of making it, then the company wouldn’t be able to pay a good wage. The negative impacts on the employees is obliviously not being able to provide for themselves or their family. The local economy would suffer by not only not having people to contribute to the local economy, but they could also cause strain on any social services that the economy may provide. By providing a good wage for the work being performed, the employee would help the business by staying with the company longer and lowering employee turnaround. They could be more productive in the economy which would help by not only providing more funding for social services, but also not having to be on the social services themselves.BusinessBusiness – Other
