Now draft an email to your Workplace Supervisor proposing your two suggestions for improvement. Write your email in a professional manner and include the following information:

your description of the improvements
the reasons you are suggesting each improvement, including any legal and/or ethical reason for it
identification of any potential or actual breaches of legislation or ethical issues
how each improvement will help staff to meet legal and ethical requirements
current potential or actual breaches of legislation or ethical requirements
attach any documents you have designed or redesigned (for example, a revised checklist, revised procedure, poster, workflow chart and so on) if appropriate.

You do not need to send your email; however, you must attach it below as evidence of completing the task.

Activity 26: Policy review and development

In consultation with your Workplace Supervisor, identify two policies and procedures that require updating in response to any new legal requirements or change in regulations or standards. Ensure that one policy relates to the organisation’s safety practices and the other relates to its’ diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Research the required changes and consult with key staff to get their ideas about the amendments needed. Draft the required updates, ensuring that the wording and length or complexity of the updates are appropriate to those who will be expected to implement it.
