As a part of the Real world learning experience, I did volunteering at Morley Vinnies as a retail assistant. And i have to do 3 artefacts base on the learning/experience that I had during volunteering.

This is a reflective journal of experiences and insights gained from the real-world learning experience. You are required to compile a portfolio containing: 
 Three (3) ‘artefacts’ – pieces of evidence created during your learning experience and reflect upon these 
 An extended critical reflection of the real-world learning experience.

3 Artefacts

 

1. Project-Related Work (You may be required to produce some original work as a part of your learning experience and select to submit this work as one or more of your artefacts)

– I have to do online training ( Induction training and there are 10 modules, i did all 10 module training)

Welcome to Vinnies – This module covers the history, structure and values of Vinnies WA.
Volunteer Expectations and Responsibilities: All Roles – This module covers what we expect of all retail volunteers in their roles.
How do Vinnies Shops Work?
Ozanam House – This module tells you about our head office and distribution centre.
Introduction to Workplace Health & Safety – This module covers important Workplace Health and Safety information.
Sorting Donated Clothing – In this module, you will learn how to effectively sort incoming donations of clothing.
Volunteer Expectations and Responsibilities: Retail Assistants
Customer Service Basics – This module provides information on how to give great customer service in any role at Vinnies.
Pricing and Presenting Stock – This module provides an overview of how to price and present stock for sale.
Visual Merchandising Basics

– I am required to get a national police certificate in order to work at Vinnie, i applied and got it after 4 weeks

The student showed an ability to integrate their knowledge into evidence-based practice. They demonstrated an ability to analyse new problems, and to transfer knowledge into those contexts to create multiple solutions.

The student was very capable of using their own initiative, and working independently with little supervision. They were consistently thoughtful and consultative in their approach to decision-making

The student sought and utilised feedback and advice judiciously. They were able to evaluate and assess their own learning and made some attempts to incorporate this awareness into their practice.

3. Photo Essay (An edited photo essay profiling the learning experience. The photo essay should help illustrate the nature of the learning experience, its challenges and its learning outcomes.)

 

– photo 1: I change mannequins clothes and display them nicely

– Photo 2: I do a cashier, serving customers (money transactions)

– photo 3: assisting customers with a choice of clothes, giving them my recommendation

-Photo4:sorting out a donation (book, toys, entertainment, clothes, homeware) that was given on that day donate at the back

-Photo 5:I arrange colour blocking(white, yellow, pink etc) colour code of clothes, I put them in their right section, women /men/ kid short/long selves, short/long pant, toys, homeware, entertainment

Photo 6: I do tidy up and restocking, clean, and sanitising the shop
