In order to extract meaningful insights from the data, various tools and techniques are employed, and one of the critical components is the database. Databases serve as the foundation for storing and managing data, and their design and architecture can significantly impact the performance and accuracy of data analytics. This research project aims to explore the role of databases in data analytics and investigate how database technologies can be leveraged to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data analytics. Research Objectives: 1. To analyse the current state of database technologies and their integration with data analytics tools. 2. To understand how database technologies can be leveraged for data analytics 3. To identify the key challenges and limitations of existing database systems in supporting data analytics. 4. To learn the basics of data analytics and the different approaches used in data analysis. 5. To provide recommendations and guidelines for organizations to choose and implement the most appropriate database technologies for their data analytics needs. Research Methodology: This research project will involve a combination of literature review, case studies, and empirical evaluations. Firstly, a comprehensive review of existing literature on database technologies and data analytics needs to be conducted to identify the current state of research and industry practices. Secondly, case studies needs to be conducted to investigate the challenges and limitations of existing database systems in supporting data analytics. Thirdly, available database architectures and designs need to be evaluated through experiments using benchmark datasets and performance metrics. Finally, the results will be analyzed and synthesized to provide recommendations and guidelines for organizations to choose and implement the most appropriate database technologies for their data analytics needs.
